Coleford, United KingdonEngaging:
Employees and local community
Higher than expected employee turnout and support
The event delivered the fun, feel good vibe GSK were hoping for
GSK was selling the Ribena and Lucozade brands and wanted to boost employee morale and team spirit during this unsettling, transition phase. The event was to be a fun event for employees, friends and family to reinforce the Ribena brand’s 75th birthday, celebrating its past, present and future.
For one day only, despite the inclement weather, the picturesque field beside the GSK factory was a mass of purple with bunting and hay bales as CI created a mini festival for Ribena’s employees, friends, family and local residents.
Activities included the Ribena Museum, bouncy castles, an inflatable assault course, petting zoo, merry go round, target golf and sumo wrestling to name a few. While the main arena entertained guests with falconry and clown children’s shows, the main stage hosted GSK’S very own ‘Coleford’s got Talent’, judged by Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and Co, who mysteriously resembled GSK’s Board of Directors!
The festival had a range of catering outlets from a posh sausage tent, Mexican burrito stand to an ice cream van. And to quench our festival goers thirst we erected a huge purple circus style beer tent for the dads which stood beside a cute Pimms branded mini cooper to look after the mums! A fun-filled day was had by all!
“The day was a huge success despite the weather and I have received nothing but positive feedback about it! We are really pleased with the final numbers! Internal Communications Co-ordinator, GSK
